The FPOA sponsors a number of events every year. These include:

January: the annual meeting at the golf club
March: St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
May: Derby Day in the Park
July: Independence Day Picnic
September: Foxfire Days
October: Halloween for both kids and adults
December: Adult & Kids Christmas Parties

Some of these are open to both FPOA members & non-members, but most are exclusive to members only. These events are a lot of fun and give our community the opportunity to get together several times a year in a festive environment.

Our social clubs are open for any resident of Foxfire Village. They include:

The Book Club

Foxfire Book Club meets at 3:00 p,m, at the Town Hall on the third Monday of the month. A different book is selected and discussed each month covering a variety of fiction and non-fiction. Books are chosen by the members as a group, or an individual member has the option of selecting a book for a particular month. The discussions are lively, the meetings are fun, and the group is friendly. All residents are welcome. For more information, contact Francine Crumbaugh, 281-4905 or Judy McCullum, 420-2355, mccollumj3@gmail.com.

The Bridge Club

The Foxfire Bridge Club has been in existence for about 30 years. It has evolved from a group of eight women playing Contract Bridge each week to 12 players of Duplicate Bridge. A few of our players and substitutes are from nearby communities. We meet every Thursday at 12:30 at the Foxfire Village Hall. Anyone interested in joining us, including men, please contact me: Betty Dresher 673-5590.

Its purpose is to provide an informal social gathering that encourages the cultivation of friendships within the Foxfire Village community. Any adult female resident is welcome to join this association. Yearly membership dues are $10.00. FWA hosts two events during the year, a Spring Luncheon and a Christmas Luncheon, at which time a donation is made to a local charity.
